Salmonella Outbreak in Cucumbers Sickens Over 150 Across 25 States

Over 150 people in the U.S. have fallen ill due to a possible salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales, Inc. across 25 states and Washington, D.C. The CDC reports 162 illnesses and 54 hospitalizations, with no deaths. Affected cucumbers were distributed between May 17 and May 21 and have been recalled. Consumers are advised to check with local grocers and either discard or return the cucumbers for a refund.
