Heroic Mail Carrier Joins Rescued Man's Family for Thanksgiving
TL;DR
Jaylen Lockhart, a postal worker in Aurora, Illinois, is celebrating Thanksgiving with the Miller family after helping Guy Miller, who fell while walking his dog. Lockhart's quick response and assistance earned him the Aurora Mayor’s Award of Service. The Millers invited Lockhart and his family to join them for Thanksgiving as a gesture of gratitude. This story echoes a similar Thanksgiving tradition between Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton, who have celebrated together since a mistaken text in 2016.
