"California's Fast Food and Health Care Workers Set to Secure Significant Salary Boosts"

Labor unions in California have successfully pushed for major salary increases for nearly 1 million workers in the fast food and health care industries. Under a new bill, most fast food workers would be paid at least $20 per hour next year, while health care workers would see their salaries rise to at least $25 per hour over the next 10 years. The proposals have the support of both labor unions and industry groups, and are expected to pass the state Legislature and be signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom.
