A UPS driver on TikTok has clarified the pay bump promised to UPS employees after the Teamsters union threatened a major strike. The driver, Skyler Lee Stutzman, disputed the claim that drivers would earn an average of $170,000 annually, stating that it is an exaggeration. Stutzman explained that under the new tentative labor deal, his pay would increase to $44.26 per hour, resulting in an annual pay of about $92,000. He also highlighted the importance of considering additional benefits such as medical insurance and pension contributions. The Teamsters union says the deal would improve the average top rate for delivery drivers to $49 per hour, which would amount to just under $102,000 annually for a 40-hour workweek.
