Teamsters Local 830 Strikes for Better Pay and Benefits at Liberty Coca-Cola in Philadelphia

Thousands of workers for Liberty Coca-Cola, the largest soft drink bottler and distributor in the Philadelphia area, have gone on strike citing issues with a recently proposed contract. The union, Teamsters Local 830, represents over 3,000 drivers, warehouse/production workers, and sales/marketing personnel. Compensation and benefits are the main sticking points. Liberty Coca-Cola says they have a contingency plan in place to continue delivering their products.
