Elizabeth Holmes Appeals Conviction and Sentencing in Theranos Fraud Case

Elizabeth Holmes has filed an appeal to overturn her 11-year conviction for defrauding investors in Theranos, claiming that she did not knowingly misrepresent the capabilities of the company's technology. Her legal team argued that testimony from her ex-boyfriend, Ramesh 'Sunny' Balwani, would corroborate her defense. Balwani was convicted of wire fraud and defrauding investors and was sentenced to 13 years in December. Holmes is set to turn herself in on April 27 after being denied a delay in her prison sentence.
