"Majority of Americans Struggle with Retirement Savings, Survey Reveals"

A new poll from YouGov for Bankrate reveals that 56% of American workers feel they are falling behind in saving for retirement, with 37% describing themselves as "significantly behind." Even younger generations are concerned, with 49% of millennials and 42% of Gen Zers expressing the same worry. Americans believe they need an average of $1.8 million to retire comfortably, about $100,000 more than last year's estimate, due to inflation. Additionally, 1 in 5 respondents said they aren't saving anything for retirement, and concerns about the future of Social Security and Medicare are growing.
