NY AG condemns Target's removal of Pride merchandise.

New York Attorney General Letitia James criticized Target's decision to remove or reduce some of its Pride Month merchandise due to conservative backlash, calling it "wrong" and urging the store to reverse its decision. Target had adjusted its merchandising plans last month, moving some LGBTQ Pride merchandise away from the front of stores in more rural areas due to customer outrage. James has been an outspoken ally for the LGBTQ community and has promoted controversial aspects of the movement, such as Drag Queen Story Hour for children.
