How to Avoid a Break-In When Someone Knocks at Your Door: Tips from a Crime Reporter

Crime reporter Lori Fullbright shared a warning on TikTok about what not to do when someone knocks at your door. She advised people not to get quiet and pretend they're not home, as most burglars want to hit a house that's empty. Instead, she suggested making noise, talking through the door, or even blasting the TV to let the burglar know someone is inside. Fullbright also advised parents to teach their children to make a lot of noise if they hear a knock at the door. According to her, burglars will usually move on to another house if someone's home.
