Amazon Unveils AI Supercomputer with Custom Chips and New Server Tech

Amazon is collaborating with Anthropic to build one of the world's most powerful AI supercomputers, featuring its latest AI training chip, Trainium 2. Announced at the Re:Invent conference, this project, named Rainer, aims to position Amazon as a significant player in generative AI, challenging Nvidia's dominance. Amazon is also introducing new tools and services to make AI more affordable and reliable, including Model Distillation and Bedrock Agents, and a verification tool called Automated Reasoning to ensure chatbot accuracy.
