Bedrock Deploys Operator-Free Autonomous Excavators on Real Job Sites

Bedrock Robotics is rolling out autonomous excavators with no onboard operator on active projects in Texas and Nevada, using its Bedrock Operator retrofit after extensive supervised testing. The system plans and executes digging while monitoring safety, with a human supervisor on site during deployments. Bedrock says productivity is approaching human levels and envisions future fleet coordination and supervisory roles for skilled workers, addressing worker shortages while safety remains a priority.
