This investment, made under the CHIPS Act, aims to enhance national security and diversify semiconductor production. TSMC plans to build a third fabrication unit in Arizona, investing over $65 billion in the U.S., and expects to create thousands of high-tech jobs. Additionally, Intel and Samsung are also set to receive significant funding under the CHIPS Act for their semiconductor manufacturing projects in the U.S.
