Black Wolf ride-sharing app brings armed drivers to NYC.

Black Wolf, a ride-sharing app that features armed drivers, has launched in the Metro Atlanta area and plans to expand to New York City within the next four months. The app charges a premium rate for riders to be paired with a driver who is trained to carry and use a firearm. The company requires drivers to pass a background check and undergo training on how to handle a firearm as well as de-escalation. The surge in violent crime nationwide has fueled demand for the app, which has already been downloaded 80,000 times since its launch this month.
