BMW's 2027 iX3 Debuts in US At a Price Advantage Over Its Gas Counterpart

BMW launches the 2027 iX3 in the US starting at $62,850 (including destination) with a $1,000 deposit. It claims up to 434 miles of EPA range (383 miles with standard 20-inch all-season tires) thanks to an 800‑volt system that supports up to 400 kW charging. The iX3 xDrive50 produces 463 hp and 467 lb-ft, hitting 0–60 mph in 4.9 seconds, while the gas-powered X3 M50 xDrive makes 393 hp and reaches 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Relative to the Tesla Model Y Premium AWD, the iX3 is about $13,860 more costly but offers greater range and interior quality. Bi‑directional charging is available via adapters (V2H $350, V2L $195; DC fast charging adapter is free), and with all options the price can rise to around $82k; US deliveries begin in late September, with reservations requiring a $1,000 deposit.
