CEOs Fear AI's Potential to Destroy Humanity in Near Future.

42% of CEOs surveyed at the Yale CEO Summit believe that AI could destroy humanity in the next five to ten years, while 58% said they are "not worried." The survey found little consensus about the risks and opportunities linked to AI, with 13% of CEOs saying the potential opportunity of AI is overstated, while 87% said it is not. The CEOs indicated AI will have the most transformative impact in healthcare, professional services/IT, and media/digital. The lack of consensus around how to approach AI underscores how even captains of industry are still trying to wrap their heads around the risks and rewards around what could be a real gamechanger for society.
