Twitter, now known as the X platform, experienced a global outage for over an hour, with timelines not refreshing on mobile apps and a placeholder message appearing on the web. The cause of the problem is still unknown. Despite the outage, posting to the site still worked, although posts disappeared after a refresh. This is not the first major outage for the platform in recent days. Service has since been restored.
