Google settles antitrust cases with states and customers, saving millions

Google has reached a settlement in a long-running antitrust case with attorneys general from 36 states and Washington, D.C., over its mobile app store policies. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed, and it is subject to approval. The lawsuit challenges Google's policies that require app developers using the Google Play Store to pay a 30 percent commission on sales of digital goods or services. Video game maker Epic Games and online dating company Match Group, who are also suing Google over the same allegations, are still set to go to trial in November.
