HP CEO Enrique Lores predicts that artificial intelligence (AI) will significantly change the way people work, with many activities that currently take a day to complete taking seconds instead. Goldman Sachs estimates that generative AI could automate the equivalent of 300 million jobs globally over the next decade, potentially increasing labor productivity by 1.5% and global GDP by 7%. Lores also believes that new high-powered computer chips supporting AI will require a major PC reset, beginning in 2024, and that everyone will need to learn the new technology to continue adding value and creating value.
