Intel Unveils Lunar Lake AI Chips to Challenge AMD and Nvidia

Intel has launched its sixth generation Xeon server processors and Gaudi 3 AI accelerator chips, aiming to regain data center market share from AMD. The new Xeon chips come in performance and efficiency models, with the latter requiring fewer server racks for the same computing power. The Gaudi 3 AI chips are priced significantly lower than competitors, positioning Intel as a cost-effective alternative to Nvidia. Additionally, Intel introduced its next generation laptop chip, Lunar Lake, which uses 40% less power and includes a more powerful AI processor.
