Italy Reverses Ban on ChatGPT Following Data Privacy Upgrades

Italy has lifted the ban on the AI chatbot, ChatGPT, after its developers, OpenAI, made changes to comply with data privacy conditions. The platform now has increased transparency on how it processes user data, opt-out rights for users, and age verification checks for children under 13. Italy had blocked the site in March, citing concerns about the storage and collection of users' personal data and the production of inaccurate information. ChatGPT generates essays, poems, songs, computer code, and news articles based on user input.
