A breach at IDScan.net exposed data for more than 150 million drivers—full names, driver’s license numbers, and government IDs—and has been linked to a sale of license data on the dark web via Nexus; the FBI is investigating, and the database has been taken offline. IDScan.net is alerting affected individuals and offering credit monitoring, while victims are advised to freeze credit, monitor accounts and credit reports, set fraud alerts, and consider pulling driving records from their DMVs.
