Meta Expands Presence in Indiana with New Campus and Data Center

Meta, formerly known as Facebook, is investing $800 million to build a new 700,000-square-foot data center at the River Ridge Commerce Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana, creating at least 100 jobs and utilizing 100% renewable energy. The facility is expected to create hundreds of construction and skilled trade jobs and will be built on a 619-acre campus. Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb praised the collaborative effort between local government and business, positioning the state as the "AI capital of the Midwest." River Ridge Commerce Center, already home to major companies like Kroger and Amazon, continues to attract significant investments, with Meta's arrival marking a significant milestone for the area.
