In comparison, Twitter collects a similar amount of data from its users, except for health and fitness, financial information, and sensitive information. Dorsey has also invested in another Twitter competitor called Bluesky, which collects less data from users. Threads is directly linked to Instagram, allowing users to seamlessly transition to the new platform using their existing username.
