Meta's Threads: The New Twitter Challenger Launching July 6

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is set to launch Threads, a new Twitter competitor, on July 6. Threads aims to take on Twitter during a tumultuous time for the platform under CEO Elon Musk. The app is currently available for pre-order on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. While some are excited about the new platform, concerns have been raised about the data Threads claims it will collect. Despite previous attempts by other Twitter alternatives, Threads has the advantage of advertising to over two billion monthly active Instagram users and building off the existing work on the platform and Facebook.
