The CEO of Intuit, Sasan Goodarzi, has said that layoffs in the tech industry have made it easier to poach star AI talent, even when they still have jobs. Goodarzi believes that the uncertainty caused by layoffs has led to people raising their heads who wouldn't have otherwise. Despite the rush of investment in AI, Goodarzi says that it's easier to recruit people who still have jobs. Intuit has not conducted large-scale layoffs and has been intentional about how it has grown parts of its business.
