OpenAI reassures European presence amidst AI regulation concerns.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has reversed his earlier threat to leave Europe, saying the company has no plans to do so. Altman had previously threatened to leave the region if it became too hard to comply with upcoming laws on artificial intelligence. The EU is working on what could be the first set of rules globally to govern AI, and Altman had criticised the current draft of the EU AI Act as "over-regulating". Altman spent the past week crisscrossing Europe, meeting top politicians to discuss the future of AI and progress of ChatGPT.
