Kent Walker, Alphabet's top lawyer, has said that AI will enhance workers' lives if used correctly and that jobs will change, but not disappear. He argued that AI automates tasks, not jobs, and that if productivity-enhancing tools are used in the right way, they can ensure national success, competitiveness, and the ability for all of us to live healthy, happy lives. However, regulating this technology is critical, and the race should be for the best AI regulations, not the first AI regulations.
