The Impact of AI on Job Postings and the Economy

Job postings mentioning artificial intelligence (AI) have more than doubled globally between July 2021 and July 2023, according to LinkedIn data. The surge in AI-related job postings is seen across various industries and countries, with the UK, Germany, and France experiencing even greater increases. LinkedIn's Global Talent Trends report also revealed that job posts mentioning AI saw 17% greater application growth over the past two years compared to those without such mentions. Additionally, a survey showed that 89% of professionals globally are excited to use AI, while 57% expressed a desire to learn more about it. As AI continues to impact the labor market, developing AI skills is becoming increasingly important for future-proofing careers.
