A hacker known as @greentheonly claims to have discovered "Elon Mode," an autopilot setting that allows Tesla cars to drive themselves without the need for drivers to intermittently put pressure on the steering wheel. The existing autopilot or full self-driving modes on Teslas require drivers to prove they are paying attention to the road. The hacker said they had driven almost 600 miles on the so-called Elon Mode, but pointed out a few flaws with the technology. Tesla's future is dependent on the company's ability to solve autonomous driving, according to Elon Musk.
