Adirondack Rail Line Suspended by Amtrak.

Amtrak has suspended its daily Adirondack passenger service between New York and Montreal, just three months after bringing the service back online following the COVID-19 pandemic. The service will now terminate at Albany-Rensselaer. North Country officials and local leaders expressed disappointment and frustration with the decision, which comes after a long-awaited renewal of cross-border travel. Amtrak had previously ended the Adirondack train service in March 2020 due to the pandemic and staffing issues.
