"NYC Braces for TD Five Boro Bike Tour Street Closures"

The TD Five Boro Bike Tour will close down vast stretches of roadway to cars and other motorized vehicles on Sunday, with cyclists taking over 40 miles of city streets and pathways. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the city Department of Transportation are encouraging people to avoid car travel within the five boroughs and use public transit. The cycling route goes from Lower to Upper Manhattan before heading into the Bronx, returning to Manhattan along the East Side before heading into Queens and Brooklyn, and finishing in Staten Island.
