Delta Flight Delayed Due to Swarm of Bees on Wing

A Delta Air Lines flight from Houston to Atlanta was delayed for several hours after a swarm of bees gathered on the plane's wing. The airline attempted to remove the bees, but a beekeeper was not allowed to touch the plane and pest control was not permitted to spray it. Eventually, the bees left on their own when the plane's engine was turned on. Swarms on planes are rare but have occurred before.
