United Airlines announces major expansion in Australia and New Zealand with new routes and upgrades.

United Airlines is set to become the largest carrier between the US and the South Pacific with a significant expansion of its services to Australia and New Zealand. The expansion includes three new routes and three upgraded routes, with the airline connecting more US cities with some of the most popular destinations in the region. The move is partly fuelled by United's partnerships with Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia, which offer one-stop connections to nearly 50 destinations in the region. The expansion is timed with the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere and is made possible by partnerships and the fact that United's competitors aren't back to pre-pandemic capacity levels in the South Pacific.
