"Jeff Koons' Lunar Sculpture Makes Art History"
TL;DR
Artist Jeff Koons has made history by placing the first "authorized" work of art on the moon with his sculpture series "Moon Phases," which arrived on the lunar surface aboard the Odysseus spacecraft. The series consists of 125 mini-sculptures of the moon, each inscribed with the name of a groundbreaking figure in human history. Koons' project also includes a commercial component, with NFTs of each sculpture being offered and larger physical sculptures remaining on Earth. This achievement marks a milestone in the art world and comes amidst a renewed interest in space exploration.
