"The Blues: A Healing Power Unleashed by Musician Nat Myers"

Musician Nat Myers, a 32-year-old Kentuckian, uses the power of blues music to address racism and anti-Asian hate crimes. Raised in a mostly white community, Myers experienced racial slurs and bullying growing up. He found solace in skateboarding and poetry, but it was the prewar blues that truly nourished his soul. Myers began playing music publicly in New York City and gained recognition when his work caught the attention of Dan Auerbach, one-half of the Black Keys. He has since released his debut album, "Yellow Peril," which combines his own poetry with blues music.
