"Eric Berryman Embraces Ancestral Folklore in Performance"

Eric Berryman, an actor, is exploring African-American folk traditions through his work in theater, injecting forgotten voices from the past into the present moment. He is currently starring in and cocreating a new Off Broadway show called "Get Your Ass in the Water and Swim Like Me" in collaboration with the Wooster Group, while also sharing stories and enjoying tea in a Manhattan neighborhood.
