"Prince William Steps Back into Public Role as Kate Battles Cancer"
TL;DR
Prince William made his first public appearance since his wife, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, shared her cancer diagnosis last month. Kate is undergoing treatment for unspecified cancer, and William remained out of public view for several weeks to support her. Kate's announcement sparked an outpouring of sympathy, and she has made it clear that she will only return to her royal duties when she's ready.
