Netflix is reducing its movie production output and combining units to centralize decision-making, resulting in job cuts and the departure of two long-time executives. The restructuring aims to produce more high-quality titles by scaling back on releases and getting more executives to collaborate. Netflix has released more original movies than any other Hollywood company, producing over 50 projects a year, and closed 2022 with almost 231 million paying customers.
