"Beverly Hills Police Apprehend Suspect in Waldorf Astoria Hotel Threat"

The Beverly Hills Police Department responded to an "active threat" at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, leading to a lockdown of the area, including the adjacent Beverly Hilton hotels, with a major police presence and a helicopter circling above. Less than 20 minutes later, the BHPD detained a suspect and stated that there were no known threats to the public at that time, with the roads expected to open shortly. The situation unfolded just before the upcoming Clive Davis’ A-list pre-Grammy party scheduled to take place at The Beverly Hilton.
