Alec Baldwin Faces Recharge in Fatal Film Shooting Case

Prosecutors in New Mexico plan to recharge actor Alec Baldwin with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film Rust. This comes after an independent forensic test confirmed that Baldwin had pulled the trigger of the gun, resulting in the live round that killed Hutchins. Baldwin's case will be presented to a grand jury in mid-November. The actor has maintained that he should not be held responsible for the shooting. If convicted, Baldwin could face up to 18 months in prison. The film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was also charged with involuntary manslaughter.
