"General Hospital Star Johnny Wactor Fatally Shot by Catalytic Converter Thieves"
TL;DR
Jay Leno criticized Los Angeles' lenient penalties for catalytic converter theft after General Hospital star Johnny Wactor was fatally shot by thieves attempting to steal his car's converter. Leno called the misdemeanor charge and $1,000 fine "outrageous" and a "slap on the wrist," attributing the boldness of such crimes to these light penalties. The suspects remain at large.
