Grandson of Robert De Niro targeted in fentanyl-laced pill scheme

A woman named Sofia Haley Marks has been arrested on federal narcotics charges for allegedly selling fentanyl-laced pills that led to the death of Robert De Niro's 19-year-old grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez. Marks faces three counts of distribution of narcotics and was found in possession of counterfeit oxycodone pills and cash when arrested. Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, is 50 times more powerful than heroin and is responsible for a significant number of drug overdose deaths in the U.S.
