
Malaysia Airlines Pilot Accused in Indonesia Drug-Smuggling Case
A 39-year-old Malaysian pilot aboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH272 was intercepted in Jakarta with about 57 pounds of ecstasy pills and 4 grams of meth, allegedly after agreeing to smuggle the drugs for 50,000 MYR. He reportedly tested positive for MDMA, meth, and cocaine, and faces narcotics charges as Indonesia warns of severe penalties. Malaysia Airlines says it is cooperating and reviewing the incident.
