Tory Lanez Appeals Conviction for Shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

Rapper Tory Lanez has filed an appeal against his conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. Lanez's defense lawyer claims that prosecutors wrongly submitted a photo of Lanez with a firearm on his chest to inform the jury that his client had an affinity for weapons. The appeal also claims that prosecutors erred when they threatened to present Lanez's rap lyrics to the jury and allowed Megan's statement to police right after the shooting. Lanez was convicted of three felonies and could face up to 22 years in prison and deportation when he is sentenced next month.
