California to name street after Tupac Shakur.

A stretch of MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland, California, where Tupac Shakur once lived, will receive an honorary name of Tupac Shakur Way, in commemoration of the late rapper's contributions to the city and his impact on art and culture. The Tupac Shakur Foundation will pay for commemorative plaques and signs, and the renaming will not affect the existing name of the street. Other notable figures, including Huey P. Newton and Too Short, have also been honored with street names in Oakland.
