London statue bears Banksy signature, fueling mystery
TL;DR
A new central‑London statue appearing to bear the signature of Banksy was spotted on Waterloo Place near the Athenaeum Club. The sculpture shows a suited man walking forward while holding a flag that covers his face, and the word ‘Banksy’ is etched on the plinth. There is no official confirmation of Banksy’s involvement, though the artist has previously created covert works in London. The piece adds to a string of Banksy appearances in the capital.
