CBS Greenlights Comedy About a 70-Year-Old Broadway Dreamer
TL;DR
CBS has ordered its first pilot of the 2027-28 development cycle, Hilda! (In Lights!), a single-camera comedy from Abbey Caldwell about a 70-year-old Nebraska woman with no experience who moves to Broadway to pursue her dream; if it goes to series, it would join a growing trend of older leads in TV.
