TL;DR

Dash Crofts, one half of Seals and Crofts, has died at 85 from complications after heart surgery, following partner Jim Seals’ 2022 death. The duo helped shape 1970s soft rock with hits like Summer Breeze and Diamond Girl before disbanding in 1980; Crofts later pursued a quieter life and country-influenced projects, leaving a lasting yacht-rock legacy.
