Eddie Murphy in Talks for 'Pink Panther' Reboot and More Comedy Franchises.

Eddie Murphy is in talks to star as Inspector Clouseau in MGM's live-action/CG hybrid Pink Panther film, directed by Jeff Fowler and produced by Dan Lin, Jonathan Eirich, Larry Mirisch, and Julie Andrews. The film will see the Inspector team up with the cartoon panther for the first time in a buddy cop movie tone. The project is still in the deep development stages and Ryan Halprin is executive producing. Murphy is known for his roles in Beverly Hills Cop, Coming to America, and the Shrek films.
