Ex-Disney Child Star Alleges On-Set Abuse, Sues Studio for Negligence

Former Disney child actor Raquel Lee, now 39, filed a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company alleging negligence after she says she was sexually abused by a Disney employee during filming of the 2001 Disney Channel movie The Poof Point when she was 14. The suit claims the employee gave her alcohol and assaulted her multiple times, including at a Salt Lake City hotel and on a flight back to California, with production failing to supervise and even blaming her for a deteriorating performance. Disney is accused of canceling an upcoming role rather than investigating. Lee seeks economic and emotional damages, punitive damages, and legal fees. She has since done Disney work and appeared in a 2024 docuseries about kids on TV.
